Texas Clock Complete!

Description

So it's finally done! I'd be happy to do a custom clock of anyone's home state or country if you're interested! Base price shall be 50-75$ a clock. This'll cover the wood, the paint, the shipping and the clock engine and leave me with plenty of profit! I'll use the exact marbling technique as you see here!

So what possessed me to do this? My doctor, who is also a great friend, treated me for free. I was so SICK that when he diagnosed me he thought I had SPINAL MENANGITUS which is a very ------>SERIOUS<-------- illness where bacteria begin to eat away at your spinal column. So since I was broke and in desperate straits, he gave me ALL the treatments for free. That included a CAT scan, x-ray, blood test.

Thankfully it only turned up positive for a bad combination of flu and hypovolemia, which, long story short, made my temperature shoot to 106, gave me a headache like a piston hammer, and innards like an undead zombie. So this is how I am thanking him.

So what exactly is this? It's a Texas Clock! And how did I make it? I took a basswood country round (you can get them cheap at amazon.com for about 8$), and drew a near geographically correct image of the state of Texas in which I proudly reside. Then I took a drill with a VERY small bit and drilled holes very close near the edge of the drawing. Then for added safety, I took a hacksaw and sawed into the holes I made (this is to make it easier btw) until I had a near rendition of Texas. Then I took simple metal files and hacked away at it giving it a nice mottled look at the edge. Then I decided where the clock hole would be and drilled using a 3/8 bit which is actually kinda big. Then I used a special wood marbling technique I learned by taking a youtube class. If anyone wants the idea on how to do this, please simply ask me and I'll go into GREAT detail. Right now youtube isn't allowing uploads due to site maintenance, so the actual video footage of the clock and the technique will not be available until later. But lastly, I simply placed the clock face on, sprayed some mod podge glossy sealant you can get at walmart, put the clock engine together, stuck the battery in and it's keeping time for years to come.

Once again, if ANYONE wants their state done as a clock please contact me with the details as I am HAPPY to work for you!
